NU Admission 2024-25 Probable Dates

The National University has announced that starting from the 2024-25 academic year, it will conduct an admission test for undergraduate honors programs at all affiliated colleges. This decision marks a significant shift from the previous practice of admitting students based on their SSC and HSC results, which has been in place since the 2015-16 academic year. The new admission process will use a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format.

According to Professor Md. Nurul Islam, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, the admission notification will be released within this week, providing details about the test format, subjects, and scoring. He assured students and guardians not to worry, as the university will clarify all aspects of the test soon.

The admission test is scheduled to begin in the first week of May 2024, possibly before the cluster admission tests, though the final date has not yet been confirmed. Additionally, the tests will be held in all 64 district cities to make it more convenient for students, allowing them to take the exam in their local areas.

One notable change in the admission policy is that students will now have the opportunity to switch between different faculties, such as from science to humanities or business, in line with policies in government universities.

This shift back to an admission test is a significant change after nearly a decade of admissions based on academic results, and it aims to improve the quality of education and the admission process at the National University.
